2020 Hyundai Palisade SEL AWD Performance and Capability

This Palisade SEL is built around Hyundai's 3.8-liter GDI V6, which produces 291 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque while pairing to a smooth 8-speed automatic with SHIFTRONIC paddle shifters. The real story for three-row families is the HTRAC all-wheel-drive system, controlled through a Drive Mode Select knob that includes a dedicated SNOW mode and an AWD lock — exactly the kind of traction management that earns its keep through slick Western New York winters. Downhill Brake Control, an electric parking brake, and shift-by-wire operation round out the drivetrain, and this example carries the trailering package with pre-wiring, a transmission cooler, and trailer sway control for weekend hauling. The auto-leveling rear suspension added through the Convenience Package keeps the ride composed whether you're loaded with passengers or towing.

2020 Hyundai Palisade SEL AWD Interior and Comfort Features

Inside, this Palisade is finished in gray leather seating surfaces thanks to the Premium Package, with a premium dashboard and door armrests elevating the cabin feel. Second-row captain's chairs give passengers their own space, and the comfort list runs deep: heated front seats, a heated second row, and a heated steering wheel keep everyone warm, while dual automatic temperature control and dedicated second-row automatic HVAC manage climate across all three rows. The driver benefits from an 8-way power seat with an Integrated Memory System and an 8-way power passenger seat, plus a leather-wrapped steering wheel and a power sunroof overhead. Practical touches include a one-touch second row, rear side window sunshades, a power folding/unfolding/reclining third row, a hands-free smart liftgate with auto open, remote engine start, and Rear Seat Quiet Mode for calmer conversations up front.

2020 Hyundai Palisade SEL AWD Fuel Economy and Efficiency

This gasoline Palisade carries an EPA-estimated 19 mpg city, 24 mpg highway, and 21 mpg combined, with Idle Stop & Go helping trim consumption in stop-and-go driving. For a three-row AWD SUV capable of seating the whole family and towing on weekends, those figures make daily commuting and longer road trips manageable, and the generous fuel tank stretches the highway range between fill-ups.

2020 Hyundai Palisade SEL AWD Technology and Connectivity

The 8-inch Display Audio touchscreen supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, backed by a Bluetooth hands-free phone system and a crisp 7-inch high-resolution instrument cluster display added through the Convenience Package. That same package brings a wireless phone charger, a 115-volt AC power outlet, and USB charging across all three rows — front ports, second-row ports mounted on the seats, and third-row outlets. An auto-dimming interior rearview mirror with HomeLink, proximity key with push-button start, and Smart Cruise Control with Stop & Go paired to Lane Following Assist make both parking-lot errands and long highway stints easier to manage.

2020 Hyundai Palisade SEL AWD Safety and Driver Assistance

Hyundai's SmartSense suite is well represented here, starting with Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist with pedestrian detection, Lane Keeping Assist, and Driver Attention Warning. Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist, Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist, and Safe Exit Assist look out for traffic and passengers alike, while front and rear Parking Distance Warning, a rearview camera, and the ultrasonic Rear Occupant Alert help in tight spaces and remind you to check the back seats. Vehicle Stability Management with ESC and traction control, ABS with Brake Assist and Electronic Brake-Force Distribution, Tire Pressure Monitoring, and a full airbag array including side-curtain and driver's knee airbags complete the package.
